The Vanadio F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 34th minute Gipuzkoa Gante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Lauaxeta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simbo FC's Octavio Lauaxeta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honrio Izarra in the 38th minute of play. Octavio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gipuzkoa Gante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Honrio Izarra to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Vanadio F.C.'s David Campomanes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed David Campomanes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vanadio F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and David Campomanes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Simbo FC a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tiburcio Enetz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vanadio F.C.'s Frutos Cubas. 2-3. Frutos Cubas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Jurdan in the 66th minute of the match. Ishmael Rico hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Vanadio F.C.'s Marin Beytia was substituted for Michael Curiel. After 76 played minutes Vanadio F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ishmael Rico. Vanadio F.C.'s Frutos Cubas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Guipuzkoa in the 78th minute of play. Frutos Cubas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victoriano Banegas in the 79th minute of the match. Marin Beytia's late challenge caught a Simbo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marin Beytia helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 played minutes Vanadio F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Marin Beytia. 87 minutes into the match, Vanadio F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Victoriano Banegas came free, but Frutos Cubas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Simbo FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Teodoro Havier hit a great ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Hats Selgas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vanadio F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Hats Selgas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
