In the 2nd minute Severin Barišić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavius Izbașa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaplan Damjanović's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavius Izbașa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasile Soare got free with Adam Hrić in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kaplan Damjanović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavius Izbașa having to interfere. Severin Barišić ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaplan Damjanović in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavius Izbașa saved Viola Invest from getting behind. Martin Bilașco's late challenge caught a Buffalo Bills's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Bilașco helped the player get up and apologised. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Flavius Izbașa made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Kaplan Damjanović sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sejfo Selmanović in the 67th minute of play forced Viola Invest's goalkeeper Flavius Izbașa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Viola Invest could leave the field as winners, despite Buffalo Bills having more of the ball for most of the match.
