The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Patricio Frechoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Anversa Club were furious when Jerome De Fauw was red carded, 12 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, Anversa Club's Jerome De Fauw got a free kick in the 12th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Aurelio Osorio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Acratas Unidos's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Osorio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jurgen Vervaeck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anversa Club's Jurgen Vervaeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Oihan in the 15th minute of play. When Patricio Frechoso came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Acratas Unidos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Frechoso couldn't finish the play. Jurgen Vervaeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Frechoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Candido Quinteros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaud Van Lancker in the 43rd minute of play. Jurgen Vervaeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Oihan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patricio Frechoso was the one to do the kick off. Anversa Club's Jurgen Vervaeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecilio Felipillo in the 51st minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Acratas Unidos's Erasmo Oihan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jurgen Vervaeck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After 62 minutes of play, Acratas Unidos's Erasmo Oihan made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jurgen Vervaeck was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Acratas Unidos's Cecilio Felipillo got a free kick in the 65th minute. Jesse De Messemaeckre charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 66th match minute, Anversa Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesse De Messemaeckre to maneuver through the defense. Jurgen Vervaeck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patricio Frechoso's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 93rdth minute of the game Patricio Frechoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anversa Club's Jurgen Vervaeck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the Acratas Unidos players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
