The throw-in from Enio Abreu in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Pretoria Gostyń's Bartosz Majusiak. After having played for 26 minutes, Fernandão Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo MZRJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandão Batista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Pretoria Gostyń's goalkeeper Hieronim Kaczanka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodriguinho Viana. After 32 minutes, Rodriguinho Viana made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Pretoria Gostyń's Hieronim Kaczanka tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Damazy Sebzda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Marco Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damazy Sebzda was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Botafogo MZRJ's Rafinha Cosme got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Hieronim Kaczanka didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodriguinho Viana went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 64th minute Fernandão Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hieronim Kaczanka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for Botafogo MZRJ. Zé Roberto Paranaense stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hieronim Kaczanka. 3-0. 71 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho Viana notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Pretoria Gostyń's Hieronim Kaczanka. Hieronim Kaczanka was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Rafinha Cosme fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botafogo MZRJ's protests and gave Rafinha Cosme a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Botafogo MZRJ getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Rafinha Cosme hit a great ball. Pretoria Gostyń's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
