German Berto, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 15 played minutes DINAMO PLOIESTI got a freekick which was hit by Gică Vulcan. DINAMO PLOIESTI's Mihai Bacalu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by German Berto in the 21st minute of play. With a little luck, San Martin de Tucuman's Epifanio Markel got control of the ball when Irinel Crainic tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the DINAMO PLOIESTI defense, Flavio Blai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mihai Bacalu. After 48 minutes of play, San Martin de Tucuman's Flavio Blai made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mihai Bacalu was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastian Orășan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, San Martin de Tucuman's Amadeo Vincent got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 62nd minute, Petrică Paraschiv hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amadeo Vincent kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Marin Brânzaș managed to get in a good position for a shot. DINAMO PLOIESTI's supporters rose to their feet, but Marin Brânzaș was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Epifanio Markel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amadeo Vincent kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucuman's goal looked a bit too open when Marin Brânzaș came free, but Epifanio Markel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for DINAMO PLOIESTI! If Leandro Lluques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute.
