In the 17th minute Hector Ignatius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Lage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Durval Lage made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Hector Ignatius sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, Agustín Sande left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 29th minute, Altino Candeias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durval Lage stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hector Ignatius's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. La Cosa Nostra's Durval Lage proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save La Cosa Nostra from getting a goal against them. Hector Ignatius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Durval Lage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hector Ignatius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leal Valido hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Durval Lage showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Ignatius in the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, La Cosa Nostra's Altino Candeias got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 59 played minutes ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Sande. A throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game was made by Laércio Vieira with Gabriel Neiva as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Hector Ignatius struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Durval Lage didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Hector Ignatius got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to La Cosa Nostra getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Laércio Vieira hit a great ball. The supporters of ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ booed when La Cosa Nostra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Altino Candeias didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Brás during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, La Cosa Nostra's André Brás got a free kick in the 77th minute. If Hector Ignatius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Neiva came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Agustín Brei could save by the left post. When Altino Candeias was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. In the 95th match minute, La Cosa Nostra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Altino Candeias to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ were the better team. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
