Galindo Macho might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Murilo Peixoto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Galindo Macho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 17th minute Rubinho Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baleren Ocaña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cerilo Sanz in the 19th minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Murilo Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ekain Bajo kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Ademar Mendes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baleren Ocaña. Ademar Mendes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Baleren Ocaña when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 46th minute, Caitano Crespo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Murilo Peixoto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cerilo Sanz made a kick off. But to his dismay, Ademar Mendes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2.
