The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Greenbay getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Robbie Bray hit a great ball. The goalkeeper, Vitinho Fontes, was totally fooled by Greenbay's Ashley Tonkin, who 11 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Família Ressaca MZ's Vitinho Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Família Ressaca MZ from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Anísio Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Família Ressaca MZ's zone, Don Huckerby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitinho Fontes came out of the goal and Don Huckerby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vitinho Fontes came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Greenbay's Jamal Sills. But to his dismay, Jamal Sills quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Vitinho Fontes made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Jamal Sills sent off a good shot on target. 34 minutes into the game, Howard Stamp recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vitinho Fontes. Howard Stamp showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. With a little luck, Família Ressaca MZ's Vitinho Fontes got control of the ball when Don Huckerby tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Greenbay's Vitinho Fontes threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Howard Stamp, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 43 played minutes Greenbay got a freekick which was hit by Howard Stamp. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Howard Stamp to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Carlos Pirani during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Greenbay booed when Família Ressaca MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Carlos Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute Howard Stamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitinho Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Don Huckerby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Vitinho Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Família Ressaca MZ's Vitinho Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Howard Stamp in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Família Ressaca MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Howard Stamp came free, but Vitinho Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Família Ressaca MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Callum Rockett came free, but Vitinho Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Greenbay walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
