Dorel Caciulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan-Alfredo Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When Orlando Antunez fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vodka Stars 1949's protests and gave Orlando Antunez a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vodka Stars 1949 getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Orlando Antunez hit a great ball. Mihail Moisescu charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
