Aris Salonicco FC's Augusto Borromeo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Piearres in the 13th minute of play. Silvio Semeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvise Scotti in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute Alvise Scotti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Semeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidoro Piearres got free with Augusto Borromeo in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 44 minutes into the match, Aris Salonicco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Atarrabi came free, but Augusto Borromeo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Borromeo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Atarrabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roque Atarrabi to make the kick off. Aris Salonicco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SuperChango the free kick. After 74 played minutes Aris Salonicco FC got a freekick which was hit by Eraldo Danza. Augusto Borromeo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Piearres in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Roque Atarrabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Borromeo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When SuperChango's Isidoro Piearres in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Aris Salonicco FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
