Club Deportivo Águila's supporters rose to their feet, but Félix Pimentel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugon Dunajski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabian Lipinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. David Braun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Flores's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. LOTOS WARSZAWA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Deportivo Águila the free kick. Félix Pimentel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hugon Dunajski came out and tried to block the shot, but Félix Pimentel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 35th minute. Félix Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, LOTOS WARSZAWA's Iwan Pyrzyce got a free kick in the 40th minute. If Marek Wieloch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Félix Pimentel in the 50th minute of play forced LOTOS WARSZAWA's goalkeeper Hugon Dunajski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radomil Iwanowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Braun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Radomil Iwanowski ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Deportivo Águila had won after a very even match.
