Teo Iztal hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cardiff City FC booed when Minho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Honorio Sotero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cardiff City FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Minho FC the free kick. In the 15th match minute, Cardiff City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Sotero to maneuver through the defense. Jairo Calçada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorio Sotero in the 19th minute of the match. Vladimiro Leobardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Ribeiro in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Caio Ponte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caio Ponte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Oliveiro in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jairo Calçada saved Minho FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Ponte in the 28th minute of play forced Cardiff City FC's goalkeeper Vladimiro Leobardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cardiff City FC were furious when Maximiliano Medardo was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cardiff City FC! The goalkeeper, Vladimiro Leobardo, was totally fooled by Minho FC's Lisandro Leite, who 35 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 38th minute, Roman Oliveiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimiro Leobardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caio Ponte's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. When Isaac Abajas fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cardiff City FC's protests and gave Isaac Abajas a yellow card for diving instead. Isaac Abajas kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Cardiff City FC's Vladimiro Leobardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Varela in the 43rd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Honorio Sotero made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, Minho FC's Caio Ponte made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimiro Leobardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Caio Ponte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Leobardo having to interfere. Vladimiro Leobardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Leite in the 69th minute of the match. Jairo Calçada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Sotero in the 70th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Eusebio Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Minho FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Alex Cortez hit a great ball. Teo Iztal hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Vladimiro Leobardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Varela in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute Marco Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Leobardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Minho FC fully deserved thier win.
