The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tobias Júdice scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emilio Raymond, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 7 minutes in the game, Alfredo Carvalhal fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Emilio Raymond having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Gerald Middleton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Torcato Avelar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Tobias Júdice recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Golden Hills's Emilio Raymond proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Golden Hills from getting a goal against them. Emilio Raymond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veríssimo Sesimbra in the 21st minute of play. After having played for 26 minutes, Veríssimo Sesimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viseu United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Veríssimo Sesimbra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Tobias Júdice could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Emilio Raymond however easily saved by the left post. 35 minutes into the match, Golden Hills's goalkeeper Emilio Raymond had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ademar Passos. In the 36th minute, Alexis Stallings hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilio Raymond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Veríssimo Sesimbra in the 44th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tobias Júdice made a kick off. Emilio Raymond stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ademar Passos's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In the 61st minute, Torcato Guterres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 minutes of play, Golden Hills's Timmy Lofton made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Torcato Avelar was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wiley Hopkins during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wiley Hopkins kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Emilio Raymond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Júdice, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Raymond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Júdice in the 69th minute of play. Veríssimo Sesimbra took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emilio Raymond. Emilio Raymond dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Emilio Raymond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Júdice in the 75th minute of the match. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viseu United's goalkeeper Torcato Avelar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Morgan Roach's late challenge caught a Viseu United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Morgan Roach helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Gerald Middleton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timmy Lofton hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Chants of Golden Hills echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Viseu United had held the ball for most of the match.
