An unexpectedly hard shot by Dušan Tobiarčík in the 4th minute of play forced The Reds's goalkeeper Johnny Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Michal Mičian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michal Mičian kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th match minute, FC DAC 1904 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jozef Tittel to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th match minute, FC DAC 1904 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Noga to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Stig Broberg from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Albert Záruba's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The The Reds fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when The Reds's Conny Aleberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Stig Broberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Reds's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig Broberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Záruba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albert Záruba came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by The Reds's Elliott Barck. But to his dismay, Elliott Barck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When Peter Noga came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the FC DAC 1904 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Noga couldn't finish the play. Albert Záruba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egil Kilstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 47th minute Conny Aleberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Záruba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Conny Aleberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC DAC 1904's goalkeeper Albert Záruba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Albert Záruba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conny Aleberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stig Broberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elliott Barck took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albert Záruba. Albert Záruba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Albert Záruba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conny Aleberg in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, The Reds's Elliott Barck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albert Záruba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Johnny Paulin came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC DAC 1904's Dušan Tobiarčík. But to his dismay, Dušan Tobiarčík quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. FC DAC 1904's Albert Záruba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egil Kilstedt in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of The Reds booed when FC DAC 1904 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bohdan Tiamač didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dušan Tobiarčík hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conny Aleberg in the 87th minute of play forced FC DAC 1904's goalkeeper Albert Záruba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conny Aleberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Záruba having to interfere.
