After having played for 21 minutes, Fred Åkerström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Playa Malvín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Åkerström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Maritza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danail Mitzakov should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Zé Roberto Teixeira went to the wrong direction when Feliks Chwalkiewicz was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 81 minutes of play, Playa Malvín's Niva Espellosa made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danail Mitzakov was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd minute, Josu Onez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zoltán Hubina in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zé Roberto Teixeira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Playa Malvín fans cheered their team off the field, for while Maritza had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
