Benedito Trigo came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by AS Monaco FC's Arkadiusz Piatek. But to his dismay, Arkadiusz Piatek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 29th minute Arkadiusz Piatek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedito Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31stth minute of the game Arkadiusz Piatek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sagarana Clube's Benedito Trigo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Arkadiusz Piatek came free, but Benedito Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Arkadiusz Piatek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AS Monaco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arkadiusz Piatek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roch Puch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Éder Madureira in the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafim Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roch Puch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Torres in the 51st minute of play. Benedito Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arkadiusz Piatek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 minutes Sagarana Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mai Jian Sen who took care of the corner kick. Arkadiusz Piatek took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benedito Trigo. Benedito Trigo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Roch Puch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Éder Madureira in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arkadiusz Piatek in the 68th minute of play forced Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper Benedito Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Beto Heidemann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sagarana Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AS Monaco FC the free kick. If Arkadiusz Piatek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benedito Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arkadiusz Piatek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jairo Guifre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Benedito Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Sagarana Clube's Benedito Trigo got control of the ball when Arkadiusz Piatek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jairo Guifre kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Arkadiusz Piatek came free, but Benedito Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
