With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrézinho Pelé in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iker Yashin saved Club Deportivo Santiago from getting behind. Victoro Guillarte hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Ray Hayward hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Iker Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrézinho Pelé, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paco Zamora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thorvald Egfjord could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Paco Zamora made a huge save. Iker Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho Pelé in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Otsando in the 32nd minute of play forced Club Deportivo Santiago's goalkeeper Iker Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ray Hayward kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 35thth minute. Though ot was a great shot RB Chubut's keeper Paco Zamora was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 36 minutes into the game, Ray Hayward cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Paco Zamora was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, RB Chubut's Paco Zamora got control of the ball when Juan Regato tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

RB Chubut made a substitution. Adrian Cristos replaced Inocencio Ramirez. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind RB Chubut's goalkeeper Paco Zamora, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paco Zamora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Regato in the 54th minute of play. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Deportivo Santiago's goalkeeper Iker Yashin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner ended in Fabian Jerrald almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Deportivo Santiago's Iker Yashin did a great save. In the 63rd minute, Victoro Guillarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iker Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niles Moran, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 65 minutes, Niles Moran made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Club Deportivo Santiago's Iker Yashin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Paco Zamora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thorvald Egfjord, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Regato in the 72nd minute of play forced RB Chubut's goalkeeper Paco Zamora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niles Moran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iker Yashin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thorvald Egfjord in the 86th minute of play forced RB Chubut's goalkeeper Paco Zamora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Deportivo Santiago's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Juan Regato in the 87th minute. The corner ended in Juan Regato almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but RB Chubut's Paco Zamora did a great save. Paco Zamora didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan Regato went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Adrian Cristos's late challenge caught a Club Deportivo Santiago's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Cristos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 98th minute, Victoro Guillarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
