Oliver Can made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hardo Kaar in the 7th minute of play. After 7 minutes, Hardo Kaar made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FK Mintis Vilnius's Oliver Can tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Elmo Lodev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aidu Metskonna Pöörased's supporters rose to their feet, but Elmo Lodev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliver Can breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aldas Galkus got free with Dušan Kinder in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dušan Kinder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kęstutis Latoža in the 15th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rein Viilma during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Aidu Metskonna Pöörased got a freekick which was hit by Rein Viilma. In the 20th minute of the match Hubertas Dabkevičius shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dušan Kinder showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Albert Looga kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. FK Mintis Vilnius's Oliver Can played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmo Lodev in the 27th minute of play. Dušan Kinder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aldas Galkus in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, FK Mintis Vilnius's Aldas Galkus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dušan Kinder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Aldas Galkus came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the FK Mintis Vilnius fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldas Galkus couldn't finish the play. Aldas Galkus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Dušan Kinder made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Dušan Kinder successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 44th match minute, Aidu Metskonna Pöörased was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Wiechgers to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Aldas Galkus notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Aidu Metskonna Pöörased's Dušan Kinder. Dušan Kinder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Aldas Galkus made the kick off in the second half. Dušan Kinder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldas Galkus in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th minute, Aldas Galkus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th match minute, FK Mintis Vilnius was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Guterres to maneuver through the defense. Aidu Metskonna Pöörased's Dušan Kinder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldas Galkus in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Aidu Metskonna Pöörased's goal looked a bit too open when Aldas Galkus came free, but Dušan Kinder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dušan Kinder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldas Galkus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 86 minutes, Aldas Galkus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Mintis Vilnius's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldas Galkus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Amado Guterres fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Mintis Vilnius's protests and gave Amado Guterres a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FK Mintis Vilnius's Amado Guterres got a free kick in the 89th minute. Dušan Kinder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldas Galkus, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. FK Mintis Vilnius's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
