Connor Wright made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Rodrigues in the 2nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves CJ Street could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which John Osomo however easily saved by the left post. Connor Wright took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademar Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 minutes Barr Point's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frederik Cueli who took care of the corner kick. Vernon Messenger hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ademar Rodrigues in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Connor Wright prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16thth minute of the game Ademar Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barr Point's Connor Wright was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ademar Rodrigues sped through Barr Point's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Connor Wright. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, John Osomo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Connor Wright stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ademar Rodrigues's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. The audience was convinced that Ademar Rodrigues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Connor Wright was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Arruda in the 28th minute of play forced Barr Point's goalkeeper Connor Wright to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Barr Point's zone, Ademar Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Connor Wright came out of the goal and Ademar Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ademar Rodrigues to strike the kick off in the second half. Connor Wright showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute, Ademar Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 54th play minutes João Arruda shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Connor Wright and just under the crossbar into goal. A hard shot 57 in the game by Ademar Rodrigues from a close distance when the talented Connor Wright managed to make a qualified save. Barr Point's players were relieved. Den Newland didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ademar Rodrigues in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Connor Wright saved Barr Point from getting behind. 63 minutes into the game, Ademar Rodrigues cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Connor Wright was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 67th match minute, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clarence Seedorf to maneuver through the defense. Barr Point's Connor Wright played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ture Rosendahl in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barr Point's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Frederik Cueli was slow to take the kick. During this time PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's players had a chance to rest. Barr Point's Connor Wright proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Barr Point from getting a goal against them. 76 minutes into the match, Barr Point's goalkeeper Connor Wright had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matías Azevedo. Ademar Rodrigues succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 77th playminute. Connor Wright tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
