Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willie Colon in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Firmo Canosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Willie Colon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Firmo Canosa was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. After 8 minutes, Willie Colon made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Guyu FC's Firmo Canosa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 15th play minutes Willie Colon shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Firmo Canosa and just under the crossbar into goal. Firmo Canosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donatello Cacheres to make the kick off. The Atlético Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0.
