After a defensive mix-up in Avantul Hirlau's zone, Afonso da Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxim Nae came out of the goal and Afonso da Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso da Cunha might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maxim Nae. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afonso da Cunha ran back to his position shaking his head. Maxim Nae didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonso da Cunha went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Belgrano LOS PIRATAS booed when Avantul Hirlau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolae Ghițulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Jago in the 15th minute of play forced Avantul Hirlau's goalkeeper Maxim Nae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maxim Nae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogério Ceni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Stoicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game was made by Dumitru Iulian with Gabriel Mustea as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 25th minute Guillermo Frank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxim Nae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goal looked a bit too open when George Stoicu came free, but Rogério Ceni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maxim Nae stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso da Cunha's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Afonso da Cunha put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Maxim Nae. 37 minutes into the match, Afonso da Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maxim Nae. Avantul Hirlau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Afonso da Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Afonso da Cunha sped through Avantul Hirlau's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maxim Nae. In the 43rd minute, Afonso da Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maxim Nae was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After the first half Belgrano LOS PIRATAS were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petru Bărcăuan to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Petru Bărcăuan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rogério Ceni. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petru Bărcăuan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Cumhur Günay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Afonso da Cunha in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Avantul Hirlau's goalie prevented a goal. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Avacariței in the 68th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso da Cunha got free with Maxim Nae in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maxim Nae didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonso da Cunha went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-8 was the resulting score. After 88 played minutes Afonso da Cunha rounded Avantul Hirlau's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-10. Maxim Nae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso da Cunha in the 90th minute of the match. With a little luck, Avantul Hirlau's Maxim Nae got control of the ball when Steve Harris tried to sneak it across the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Teodoro Hartz notched a goal, 1-11, to the right of Avantul Hirlau's Maxim Nae. Maxim Nae was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
