In the 3rd minute, Celestiales's Florin Simuţ ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joel Delfino. Joel Delfino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Abreu got free with Joel Delfino in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 14th minute, Santiago Abreu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joel Delfino. The goal made the score 2-0. Sergio Martxel made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Steve Hodge. Joel Delfino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jiang Sha, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Sergio Martxel made in the 20th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Hans Otterlei immediately put the ball in play. In the 20th minute Hans Otterlei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Madrid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hans Otterlei took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iker Madrid. Iker Madrid dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 23 minutes into the match, Jiang Sha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joel Delfino, 3-1. Santiago Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Joel Delfino made a huge save. After some careless play in the La Cosa Nostra defense, Santiago Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Delfino. The La Cosa Nostra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Delfino should have stopped the shot. Iker Madrid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Otterlei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Celestiales's zone, Steve Hodge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Madrid came out of the goal and Steve Hodge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the game, Hans Otterlei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Iker Madrid was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.
The wind increased when Santiago Abreu made the kick off in the second half. Joel Delfino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jiang Sha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th match minute, Celestiales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Abreu to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Joel Suarez in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Celestiales's Victoriano Lia. Joel Delfino came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Celestiales's Santiago Abreu. But to his dismay, Santiago Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Santiago Abreu scored 6-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Delfino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 66 minutes into the match, La Cosa Nostra's goal looked a bit too open when Jiang Sha came free, but Joel Delfino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hans Otterlei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Iker Madrid made a huge save. After a rather tough play, La Cosa Nostra's Steve Hodge got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Celestiales made a substitution. Paulo Renato Saraiva replaced Jiang Sha. Celestiales made a substitution. Aureliano Vasco replaced Victoriano Lia. La Cosa Nostra made a substitution. Marciano Bizen replaced Hans Otterlei. Steve Hodge hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. When Celestiales's Paulo Renato Saraiva, in the 84th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Celestiales. 87 minutes into the match, Bartolo Nesor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iker Madrid. Celestiales's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bartolo Nesor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-3. Paulo Renato Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Joel Delfino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of La Cosa Nostra booed when Celestiales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hami Tuncel didn't get a good kick on the ball.
