Triforce Super Soccer's Jean-Pascal Croissant managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mats Kindermans in the 4 minute of the game. Luiz Paulo de Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jesse Naessens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Oscar Kindermans might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristian Salles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oscar Kindermans ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shen Xiao Yan in the 7th minute of play forced Triforce Super Soccer's goalkeeper Cristian Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Dharma Initiative's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jeremey Pulix in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute, Jean-Pascal Croissant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shen Xiao Yan in the 13th minute of play. Jeremey Pulix kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After having played for 18 minutes, José Paulo Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Triforce Super Soccer's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Paulo Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tibau De Jaeger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Salles having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Triforce Super Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson Xavier to maneuver through the defense. Ato Jabari Hamilton-Maurice recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jesse Naessens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Passos in the 28th minute of play. Jesse Naessens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo de Lima in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Shen Xiao Yan made a kick off. FC Dharma Initiative's Tibau De Jaeger managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gilberto da Mata in the 52 minute of the game. Cristian Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shen Xiao Yan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ato Jabari Hamilton-Maurice received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jesse Naessens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ato Jabari Hamilton-Maurice could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Jesse Naessens made a huge save. 65 minutes into the match, FC Dharma Initiative's goalkeeper Jesse Naessens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ato Jabari Hamilton-Maurice. In the 71st match minute, Triforce Super Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Paulo Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Triforce Super Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Shen Xiao Yan came free, but Cristian Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as José Paulo Alcântara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jesse Naessens. That made the score 0-1 in the 74 minute of play. In the 81st minute, Ato Jabari Hamilton-Maurice got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jesse Naessens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Paulo de Lima in the 84th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Dharma Initiative getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Oscar Kindermans hit a great ball. The supporters of Triforce Super Soccer booed when FC Dharma Initiative was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Kindermans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Ato Jabari Hamilton-Maurice could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Jesse Naessens however easily saved by the left post. Oscar Kindermans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Salles having to interfere. The Triforce Super Soccer supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Triforce Super Soccer would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
