Wlodzimierz Cipinski came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Motala AIF's Tony Skarkman. But to his dismay, Tony Skarkman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Zebastian Rydelius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Motala AIF's goal looked a bit too open when Xamo Navarro came free, but Adriano Tolin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GAIS's Wlodzimierz Cipinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcin Cebula in the 27th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Pascal Trefzer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Motala AIF's supporters rose to their feet, but Pascal Trefzer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wlodzimierz Cipinski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of GAIS booed when Motala AIF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Lope didn't get a good kick on the ball. Motala AIF's Adriano Tolin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konrad Josefsson in the 33rd minute of play. Zebastian Rydelius's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adriano Tolin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Zebastian Rydelius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adriano Tolin. Motala AIF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zebastian Rydelius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Adriano Tolin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zebastian Rydelius in the 39th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Wlodzimierz Cipinski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tony Skarkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Wlodzimierz Cipinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half GAIS were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tony Skarkman to strike the kick off in the second half. Adriano Tolin made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Konrad Josefsson sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute Hjalmar Björck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Tolin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wlodzimierz Cipinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascal Trefzer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Konrad Josefsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tony Skarkman in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wlodzimierz Cipinski saved GAIS from getting behind. 74 minutes into the match, GAIS's goal looked a bit too open when Marcin Cebula came free, but Wlodzimierz Cipinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Skarkman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wlodzimierz Cipinski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute Xamo Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Tolin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sandro Wolfinger fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Motala AIF's protests and gave Sandro Wolfinger a yellow card for diving instead. After 80 played minutes Motala AIF got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Wolfinger. In the 81st minute, Xamo Navarro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adriano Tolin made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Xamo Navarro sent off a good shot on target. Adriano Tolin stood somewhat misplaced when Hjalmar Björck came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 88 minute. The Motala AIF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GAIS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
