If Ianis Man had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Alonso hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute Szittyák SE rege were awarded a corner. Martin Lizbeth went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Martin Lizbeth almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Djurgården IF's Du Chong Le did a great save. Du Chong Le made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ianis Man in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Djurgården IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Martin Lizbeth was slow to take the kick. During this time Szittyák SE rege's players had a chance to rest. Ianis Man fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Du Chong Le having to interfere. Ianis Man received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Du Chong Le tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Du Chong Le showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ianis Man, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The audience was convinced that Ianis Man's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Du Chong Le was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Gustav Ahlrot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Jaume made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ianis Man in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Du Chong Le prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Du Chong Le made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwan Karanowski in the 58th minute of play. Ianis Man received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Du Chong Le tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Du Chong Le stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ianis Man's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexander Nilsson got free with Reynaldo Jaume in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
