IGUIPORÃ FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Moreno in the 14th minute. Carlos Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svali Bollason, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Svali Bollason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Adolfo Goiano in the 34th minute of play forced Reko-Recko 03™'s goalkeeper Angelino Nueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. IGUIPORÃ FC's Carlos Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Trigo in the 38th minute of play. Angelino Nueva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Hjortsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Carlos Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svali Bollason in the 42nd minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Alberto Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IGUIPORÃ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Matorin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Eric Hjortsberg came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the IGUIPORÃ FC fans jumped to their feet. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The IGUIPORÃ FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Reko-Recko 03™ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
