The referee ignored KFC Uerdingen 05's protests and gave Frederic Bell a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Federico Aimar got free with Ago Vaasna in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Federico Aimar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Ago Vaasna made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Aimar in the 5th minute of play forced KFC Uerdingen 05's goalkeeper Ago Vaasna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frederic Bell kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Lando Cürten hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 12 played minutes KFC Uerdingen 05 got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Nowak. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabrizio Nowak in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Ospin saved Deuce Athletic Club from getting behind. Ago Vaasna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Vargas in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederic Bell in the 24th minute of play forced Deuce Athletic Club's goalkeeper Leopoldo Ospin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KFC Uerdingen 05 were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Deuce Athletic Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kai Kambach took the corner. Simon Brechbilder made a great header on KFC Uerdingen 05's corner, it was just that Deuce Athletic Club's Leopoldo Ospin managed to reach the ball for a save. KFC Uerdingen 05's Ago Vaasna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save KFC Uerdingen 05 from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute, Raimundo Vargas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ago Vaasna. The goal made the score 1-0. Ago Vaasna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Vargas in the 35th minute of the match. Federico Aimar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 39 in the game by Segundo Felo from a close distance when the talented Ago Vaasna managed to make a qualified save. KFC Uerdingen 05's players were relieved. Ago Vaasna stood somewhat misplaced when Segundo Felo came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 39 minute. KFC Uerdingen 05's Ago Vaasna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Aimar in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Aimar in the 45th minute of play forced KFC Uerdingen 05's goalkeeper Ago Vaasna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luo Ying Liang was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Aimar in the 55th minute of play forced KFC Uerdingen 05's goalkeeper Ago Vaasna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KFC Uerdingen 05 made a substitution. Simon Bannenbusch replaced Luo Ying Liang. Deuce Athletic Club's Tadeo Iraitz was substituted for Federico Aimar. After a rather tough play, KFC Uerdingen 05's Lucien Zollt got a free kick in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, KFC Uerdingen 05's Magnus Bülau got a free kick in the 66th minute. Simon Bannenbusch went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to KFC Uerdingen 05's Kai Kambach getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ago Vaasna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Iraitz in the 78th minute of play. Segundo Felo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leopoldo Ospin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrizio Nowak, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Fabrizio Nowak scored 2-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leopoldo Ospin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to KFC Uerdingen 05 getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Magnus Bülau hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Simon Bannenbusch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KFC Uerdingen 05 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
