C.A Vientos Huracanados's Domingo Goyo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Borys Gruchacz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustavo Scarpa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Borys Gruchacz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nemesio Cordareo in the 57th minute. In the 89th minute of the match C.A Vientos Huracanados got a corner. Joinville United - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jose Asier ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Joinville United - FSCMZ's goalie and right to Üllar Vilba. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Joinville United - FSCMZ's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 94 minutes into the match, C.A Vientos Huracanados's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Donatello came free, but Segundo Feijo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C.A Vientos Huracanados's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
