An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrad Rauvoe in the 4th minute of play forced Grütly's goalkeeper Epifanio Boniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guido Olentzaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Steffe De Prins made a huge save. Steffe De Prins stood somewhat misplaced when Tomas Oliviero came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 13 minute. In the 16th minute, Tomas Oliviero reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Steffe De Prins. The goal made the score 2-0. Guido Olentzaro took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steffe De Prins. Steffe De Prins dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 27 minutes, Thys Konings made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Grütly's Epifanio Boniel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thys Konings in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Epifanio Boniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grütly's Epifanio Boniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrad Rauvoe in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to Royal Antwerp F.C. getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Wannes Tielemans hit a great ball. With his leg Steffe De Prins managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Grütly's Tomas Oliviero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Steffe De Prins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Oliviero in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Tomas Oliviero dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Steffe De Prins, 4-1. Epifanio Boniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thys Konings, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Steffe De Prins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Olentzaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Oliviero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steffe De Prins having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, Guido Olentzaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Steffe De Prins was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thys Konings made a kick off. The supporters of Grütly booed when Royal Antwerp F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thys Konings didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steffe De Prins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Oliviero in the 59th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Honorio Torres notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Royal Antwerp F.C.'s Steffe De Prins. Steffe De Prins was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Tomas Oliviero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steffe De Prins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Honorio Torres went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. In the 75th minute Fidel Gomesano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steffe De Prins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anthoon Vervaeck kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 76 played minutes, Grütly's Victorio Tauro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Steffe De Prins came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grütly reached it. Grütly's Epifanio Boniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrad Rauvoe in the 79th minute of play. Steffe De Prins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Gomesano in the 82nd minute of the match. When Grütly's Tomas Oliviero in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Royal Antwerp F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. 89 minutes into the game, Grütly's Tomas Oliviero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steffe De Prins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. Steffe De Prins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorio Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 94 minutes into the match, Grütly's goalkeeper Epifanio Boniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thys Konings. Steffe De Prins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Gomesano in the 98th minute of play. Grütly walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
