Casper Jans was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gianluca Scamacca showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Van Cauwenbergh in the 23rd minute of play forced KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's goalkeeper Dawid Nakonieczny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gianluca Scamacca got free with Casper Jans in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led Racing Matinette's 余乐西 to fire away a dangerous shot which Dawid Nakonieczny despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When 余乐西, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 28 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dawid Nakonieczny was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. A collision led to KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Hugon Kornasiewicz hit a great ball. Dawid Nakonieczny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Creemers, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Gianluca Scamacca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Casper Jans made a huge save. 43 minutes into the game, Slawomir Wojciechowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Matinette the free kick. Arnout Scheerens took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dawid Nakonieczny. Dawid Nakonieczny dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnout Scheerens was the one to do the kick off. If Arnout Scheerens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Arnout Scheerens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dawid Nakonieczny was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Racing Matinette's Arnout Scheerens got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Racing Matinette made a substitution. Etienne Van den Sande replaced Matthew Van Cauwenbergh. 64 minutes into the game, Gianluca Scamacca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Casper Jans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Etienne Van den Sande fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Racing Matinette's protests and gave Etienne Van den Sande a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute, Etienne Van den Sande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnout Scheerenss short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Dawid Nakonieczny to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ruben Van Der Taelen kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Racing Matinette's Chatziioannou Stavrakos was substituted for Arnout Scheerens. After having played for 83 minutes, Etienne Van den Sande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Matinette's supporters crossed their fingers, but Etienne Van den Sande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Casper Jans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianluca Scamacca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Gianluca Scamacca put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Casper Jans. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gianluca Scamacca in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Jans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dawid Nakonieczny stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chatziioannou Stavrakos's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. After a rather tough play, Racing Matinette's Jens Verheecke got a free kick in the 95th minute. KS Lechia Gdańsk S.A's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
