Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Motta Rello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horaţiu Măcrinici, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Motta Rello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horaţiu Măcrinici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, San Michele AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Horaţiu Măcrinici came free, but Motta Rello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 7 minutes of play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Horaţiu Măcrinici made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Motta Rello was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ziemowit Kinic in the 14th minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Motta Rello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Măcrinici in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, San Michele AFC's Ziemowit Kinic sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mickaël Maris narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Horaţiu Măcrinici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Motta Rello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Gerazan in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Beila Mora got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Giusto in the 29th minute of play. Renato Bezerra made a great header on Nova Iguaçu MZFC's corner, it was just that San Michele AFC's Motta Rello managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 32 minutes, Horaţiu Măcrinici managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horaţiu Măcrinici was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The San Michele AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Motta Rello should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alvaro Giusto to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Nova Iguaçu MZFC booed when San Michele AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Mosca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Renato Bezerra got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Ladislao Gerazan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Motta Rello was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Beila Mora scored 1-3 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mickaël Maris, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nova Iguaçu MZFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! Horaţiu Măcrinici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Motta Rello having to interfere. Mickaël Maris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Giusto in the 76th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the game, Renato Bezerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Michele AFC the free kick. Alvaro Giusto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. San Michele AFC's Alvaro Giusto got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Nova Iguaçu MZFC booed when San Michele AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Chiappini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renato Bezerra who after having made a long run got a chance for a shot on goal. Despite a couple of nice moves Motta Rello's wasn't to be fooled and made an easy save when Renato Bezerra was beeing forced to shoot. The excitement rose when Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Renato Bezerra after 87 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for San Michele AFC's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-4. Motta Rello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horaţiu Măcrinici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by San Michele AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Renato Bezerra was slow to take the kick. During this time Nova Iguaçu MZFC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Volli Ant got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Motta Rello quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Nova Iguaçu MZFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
