Nils Støle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorenzo Jerrold's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's goal looked a bit too open when Horea Boian came free, but Mon Navarro Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Horea Boian kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mon Navarro Montoya. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nahuel Bocaj in the 35th minute of play forced A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Nils Støle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of San Lorenzo de Sarandi booed when A.C. Patagonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horea Boian didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Mon Navarro Montoya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ikars Zurpēvics in the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Leonides Rosio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. In the 95th minute Leonides Rosio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Støle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
