Spectators: 157 (Terracing: 118, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Metal Juniors's Daniel Păvăloae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Amurrio in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute of the match Real Unión CF got a corner. Metal Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cebo Segura ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Păvăloae came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Unión CF's Aquiles Amurrio. But to his dismay, Aquiles Amurrio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 12th minute by Danilo Yermo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 14th match minute, Real Unión CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Castulo Quiroga to maneuver through the defense. Metal Juniors's Martín Palermo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martín Palermo in the 18th minute of play forced Real Unión CF's goalkeeper Wilfredo Heli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martín Palermo in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilfredo Heli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wilfredo Heli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martín Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Martín Palermo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Metal Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With an all-out effort, Real Unión CF's Daniel Păvăloae threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aquiles Amurrio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 28thth minute of the game Aquiles Amurrio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Metal Juniors's Daniel Păvăloae was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute Martín Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Heli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Martín Palermo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilfredo Heli was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 38 minutes into the match, Martín Palermo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Real Unión CF's Wilfredo Heli. Wilfredo Heli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Gaufred in the 41st minute of play forced Real Unión CF's goalkeeper Wilfredo Heli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jenaro Igarza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th match minute, Real Unión CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Zollinger to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martín Palermo to make the kick off. Martín Palermo might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilfredo Heli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martín Palermo ran back to his position shaking his head. Martín Palermo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilfredo Heli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martín Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Daniel Păvăloae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Amurrio in the 66th minute of play. If Martín Palermo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilfredo Heli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martín Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martín Palermo in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilfredo Heli saved Real Unión CF from getting behind. Martín Palermo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilfredo Heli having to make a save. Wilfredo Heli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martín Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aquiles Amurrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Metal Juniors made a substitution. Sergio Dennis replaced Martín Palermo. Jenaro Igarza kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Sergio Dennis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilfredo Heli came out and tried to block the shot, but Sergio Dennis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 85th minute. After 88 minutes, Aquiles Amurrio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Unión CF and the Metal Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th minute, Aquiles Amurrio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Herbert kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 94thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Real Unión CF's keeper Wilfredo Heli was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Unión CF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Freddy Inguma was slow to take the kick. During this time Metal Juniors's players had a chance to rest. The Real Unión CF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Metal Juniors's performance. The match ended with a win for Metal Juniors.
