The audience thought a goal was coming when Urbano Matteo got free with Daniel Păvăloae in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Del Acuerdo's Antonio Venceslao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martín Palermo in the 28th minute of play. Martín Palermo scored 1-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antonio Venceslao, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eloy Gaufred fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Venceslao having to interfere. Metal Juniors's Eloy Gaufred got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Eloy Gaufred hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Martín Palermo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Venceslao was relentless in the 47th minute of the game.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martín Palermo to strike the kick off in the second half. Sergio Dennis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Daniel Păvăloae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorio Calvet in the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Victorio Calvet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Metal Juniors's Timoteo Gorosti got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Metal Juniors players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
