In the 10th minute Jarūnas Kuliešius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loco De la Maza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarūnas Kuliešius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loco De la Maza having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP's goal looked a bit too open when Jarūnas Kuliešius came free, but Loco De la Maza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Loco De la Maza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarūnas Kuliešius, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cafu Antunes in the 26th minute of play forced LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP's goalkeeper Loco De la Maza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, FC Alytus United's Loco De la Maza threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kris Chamberlain, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edvīns van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceferino Balasi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Loco De la Maza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romualdas Motiekaitis in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, FC Alytus United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klevis Mencendorfs to maneuver through the defense. FC Alytus United's Edvīns van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Balasi in the 42nd minute of play. Edvīns van der Sar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ceferino Balasi went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Regis was the one to do the kick off. Loco De la Maza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarūnas Kuliešius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aquilino Chabier hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Romeo Ungheanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Alytus United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Ungheanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Romeo Ungheanu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Alytus United's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Romeo Ungheanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Loco De la Maza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the FC Alytus United players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
