Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Prudencio Ixidor kicked off to start the match. Marciano Pedroso hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Prudencio Ixidor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonel Barros having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Ixidor in the 5th minute of play forced Wellington Phoenix's goalkeeper Leonel Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacio Jofre hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Erivaldo Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenz Ureta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonel Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Ixidor in the 17th minute of the match. Marciano Pedroso made in the 19th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Erivaldo Pernambucano. Lorenz Ureta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Unai in the 26th minute of play. Teofilo Unai's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lorenz Ureta firmly grabbed it by the left post. Wellington Phoenix's Erivaldo Pernambucano got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Prudencio Ixidor made a precise shot to the right of Leonel Barros. Wellington Phoenix's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 36th minute Erivaldo Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenz Ureta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erivaldo Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Lorenz Ureta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arthur Meireles made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which João Pedro de Amaral however managed to control. After the first half Wrexham were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erivaldo Pernambucano made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Unai in the 53rd minute of play forced Wrexham's goalkeeper Lorenz Ureta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonel Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Kvick in the 59th minute of play. After 61 minutes of play, Wellington Phoenix's Erivaldo Pernambucano made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lorenz Ureta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dimitri Payet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Leonel Barros made a huge save. Lorenz Ureta came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Wellington Phoenix's Teofilo Unai. But to his dismay, Teofilo Unai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 72nd minute, Dimitri Payet fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 76th minute, Marciano Pedroso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wrexham's Lorenz Ureta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Zanette in the 79th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ciro Zanette's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lorenz Ureta was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Lorenz Ureta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Zanette in the 90th minute of play. The Wrexham players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Wellington Phoenix from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
