Scarafia Ghost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Makenhauer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Bâru in the 24th minute of play forced Holmkjar Hotspurs's goalkeeper Tristan Nordlet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Holmkjar Hotspurs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loke Skaanild to maneuver through the defense. The Holmkjar Hotspurs players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Go Ahead Eagles were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iustin Bâru made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruddi Berendsen during the 52nd minute.
