An unexpectedly hard shot by Piearres Olalla in the 34th minute of play forced Kroton F.C.'s goalkeeper Martin Eriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Wessel made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Patrick Vieira sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jan Wessel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severino Messias. Iustin Hațegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Eriksson having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severino Messias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Kroton F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dolf Schoonderwoerd came free, but Martin Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jan Wessel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kroton F.C.'s Martin Eriksson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Kroton F.C. from getting a goal against them. Martin Eriksson made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Dolf Schoonderwoerd sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as The Underdogs's Dolf Schoonderwoerd slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Martin Eriksson. That made the score 1-4 after 68 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, The Underdogs's Iustin Hațegan got a free kick in the 70th minute. Kroton F.C.'s Martin Eriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustin Hațegan in the 78th minute of play. Jan Wessel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patrick Vieira's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Dolf Schoonderwoerd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Eriksson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Cristiano Chitarroni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 minutes Kroton F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ed Palsma who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Riemer Fries managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 88th minute, Johannes Støle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Messias in the 94th minute of play forced The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jan Wessel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Riemer Fries kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
