U.S.Normande's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Bourgas the free kick. Youri Borderie kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Christopher Barnier came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Bourgas's Yoncho Menkov. But to his dismay, Yoncho Menkov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Youri Borderie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Levent Tuliyski made a huge save. Christopher Barnier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Galin Popovski in the 16th minute of the match. Christopher Barnier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yoncho Menkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute Bengt-Rune Mellberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Levent Tuliyski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Levent Tuliyski made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Youri Borderie sent off a good shot on target. FC Bourgas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paun Baynov in the 34th minute. Paun Baynov made a great header on FC Bourgas's corner, it was just that U.S.Normande's Christopher Barnier managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yoncho Menkov in the 38th minute of play forced U.S.Normande's goalkeeper Christopher Barnier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Youri Borderie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U.S.Normande's supporters crossed their fingers, but Youri Borderie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute Galin Popovski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Barnier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th minute, U.S.Normande's Youri Borderie dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Galin Popovski to make the kick off. Galin Popovski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Christopher Barnier came out and tried to block the shot, but Galin Popovski slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 54th minute. The supporters of U.S.Normande booed when FC Bourgas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamen Kudev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christopher Barnier made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Galin Popovski sent off a good shot on target. Yoncho Menkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Yoncho Menkov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Levent Tuliyski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Youri Borderie in the 70th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Bourgas defense, Youri Borderie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Levent Tuliyski. The FC Bourgas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Levent Tuliyski should have stopped the shot. In the 79th match minute, U.S.Normande was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurélien Mussard to maneuver through the defense. U.S.Normande's Christopher Barnier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paun Baynov in the 80th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, U.S.Normande's goal looked a bit too open when Paun Baynov came free, but Christopher Barnier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurélien Mussard hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Levent Tuliyski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Rune Mellberg in the 89th minute of play. A collision led to FC Bourgas getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Velimir Petzanov hit a great ball. Youri Borderie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Levent Tuliyski having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Youri Borderie in the 92nd minute of play forced FC Bourgas's goalkeeper Levent Tuliyski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Levent Tuliyski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Youri Borderie in the 94th minute of the match. Despite being the better team, FC Bourgas failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
