The referee ignored Camino Rojo's protests and gave Pancho Villasana a yellow card for diving instead. Pancho Villasana hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miguel Ángel Benito to strike the kick off in the second half.
