CADU de Zarate's Benedicto Astigar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Erik Jernberg in the 12th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Jan-Erik Jernberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stadsbornas IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Erik Jernberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedicto Astigar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benedicto Astigar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Txartiko in the 17th minute of play. Americo Txartiko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute Americo Txartiko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Astigar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Stadsbornas IF booed when CADU de Zarate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Davis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedicto Astigar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Americo Txartiko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andres Lander in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abel Flor, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Paulo Dominix could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Abel Flor made a huge save. Abel Flor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Dominix in the 44th minute of play. Angelo Ixona charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelo Ixona the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th match minute, CADU de Zarate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Ixona to maneuver through the defense. Jan-Erik Jernberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Astigar having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andres Lander made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Paulo Dominix's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abel Flor was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Benedicto Astigar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Txartiko in the 54th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sakarias Skark's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benedicto Astigar was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Erik Jernberg got free with Benedicto Astigar in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stadsbornas IF were furious when Igor Loureiro was red carded, 93 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave CADU de Zarate a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hector Reno, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Stadsbornas IF's Abel Flor. 2-2. Stadsbornas IF's Jan-Erik Jernberg got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
