If Doru Lițu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luís Eduardo Araújo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The supporters of The Beatles booed when DENVER™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denver Volante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toninho Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Trancoso in the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, DENVER™'s Dráusio Garcia got a free kick in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goalkeeper Toninho Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doru Lițu. Doru Lițu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Doru Lițu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Toninho Pinheiro. That made the score 3-0 in the 38 minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Doru Lițu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Toninho Pinheiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Toninho Pinheiro was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Róbson Simões capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Róbson Simões really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Zeca Brodel took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toninho Pinheiro. Toninho Pinheiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. In the 88th minute, Róbson Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Toninho Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 12-0 when Zeca Brodel sped through DENVER™'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Toninho Pinheiro. Zeca Brodel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
