After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Jairo Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot. BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Quirino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manfred Fribäck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th minute Adhemar Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfred Fribäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Källberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Ata Necmi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Manfred Fribäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Adhemar Arce in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Norrlands Athen's Jakob Friberger. If Adhemar Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the match, BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's Adhemar Arce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manfred Fribäck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Norrlands Athen's Tage Backlund slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ata Necmi. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. After 22 minutes of play, Norrlands Athen's John Källberg made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ata Necmi was left in no man's land by his defense there! If John Källberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Adrianinho Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfred Fribäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's Ata Necmi got control of the ball when Tage Backlund tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute Norrlands Athen were awarded a corner. Du Le Jun went to the cornerflag to take it. Du Le Jun made a great header on Norrlands Athen's corner, it was just that BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's Ata Necmi managed to reach the ball for a save. Norrlands Athen's Manfred Fribäck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Tinoco in the 37th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrianinho Capixaba in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manfred Fribäck saved Norrlands Athen from getting behind. In the 42ndth minute of the game Adrianinho Capixaba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Norrlands Athen's Manfred Fribäck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 44th minute John Källberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ata Necmi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's Ata Necmi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Källberg in the 45th minute of play. The wind increased when Acácio Tinoco made the kick off in the second half. BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's Ata Necmi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Källberg in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Adrianinho Capixaba dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Manfred Fribäck, 2-1. The supporters of Norrlands Athen booed when BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benê Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Jailson Tasso hit a great ball. Norrlands Athen made a substitution. Tord Lundin replaced Alberigo Garofalo. Norrlands Athen's Erik Ljusberg was substituted for John Källberg. 62 minutes into the match, BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Ljusberg came free, but Ata Necmi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erik Ljusberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ata Necmi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Ata Necmi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Ljusberg in the 68th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Erik Ljusberg put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ata Necmi. Ata Necmi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Ljusberg's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Manfred Fribäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrianinho Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Arce in the 77th minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Manfred Fribäck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erik Ljusberg in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ata Necmi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 80 minutes into the match, BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's goal looked a bit too open when Tage Backlund came free, but Ata Necmi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Norrlands Athen's Tage Backlund in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's goalie prevented a goal. In the 81st minute of the match John Carew shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ata Necmi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ata Necmi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Ljusberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norrlands Athen were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Du Le Jun took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Du Le Jun got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ata Necmi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tage Backlund in the 88th minute of play forced BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's goalkeeper Ata Necmi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Erik Ljusberg put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ata Necmi. In the 93rd minute, Du Le Jun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrianinho Capixaba during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96thth minute of the game Erik Ljusberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER's Ata Necmi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Norrlands Athen fans cheered their team off the field, for while BRASIL DE PELOTAS 4EVER had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
