Spectators: 185 (Terracing: 140, Seating: 42, VIP seats: 3) Ernesto Monge came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Talento Futebol clube's Simão Santos. But to his dismay, Simão Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Luis Marin managed to get in a good position for a shot. CS La Libertad's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Marin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel van der Bij breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Michel van der Bij showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Marin in the 12th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Rodrigo Lobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel van der Bij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Volio came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Michel van der Bij could save by the left post. Ernesto Monge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Santos in the 28th minute of play. Mito Mesías kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Anibal Gallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel van der Bij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Talento Futebol clube's Simão Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernesto Monge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 35th minute, Simão Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simão Santos succeeded in the game's 39th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Gualter Proença hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute of the match, Nikos Valassiou tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Michel van der Bij saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Michel van der Bij took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Valassiou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Lobo was the one to do the kick off. CS La Libertad's Reynaldo Esquivel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fraco Zago in the 52 minute of the game. In the 53rd minute Agustin Barrantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel van der Bij saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Talento Futebol clube's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Lobo came free, but Michel van der Bij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The CS La Libertad fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when CS La Libertad's Rodrigo Lobo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 68 played minutes Talento Futebol clube got a freekick which was hit by Júnior Zago. Michel van der Bij stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustin Barrantes's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. 75 minutes into the match, CS La Libertad's Nikos Valassiou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michel van der Bij narrowly saved just below the crossbar. CS La Libertad made a substitution. Manrique Cisneros replaced Rodrigo Lobo. Júnior Zago made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Simão Santos. In the 97th minute, Lauro Quirino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
