Viktor Damm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwan Grocholski having to interfere. La Academia's Francisco Alberto Zañartu suffered a sore thigh after 21 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 21 minutes into the game, Norbert Focke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Give Peace a Chance's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Academia the free kick. La Academia made a substitution. Noé Dinamarca replaced Francisco Alberto Zañartu. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Give Peace a Chance:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of La Academia:s goal. Nemesio Marco walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Iwan Grocholski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludwig Kamper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Ludwig Kamper left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Give Peace a Chance fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. La Academia's Iwan Grocholski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Hilger in the 32nd minute of play. After 34 played minutes La Academia got a freekick which was hit by Noé Dinamarca. Iwan Grocholski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Kruczkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. La Academia's Iwan Grocholski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludwig Kamper in the 44th minute of play. After the first half Give Peace a Chance were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

La Academia's Iwan Grocholski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Hilger in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, La Academia's Walter White nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abdul Behnisch made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Nemesio Marco was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 57 minutes into the match. La Academia:s Iwan Grocholski showed great skill when he stopped Mattias Hilger:s penalty. Noé Dinamarca struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Abdul Behnisch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Academia. Iwan Grocholski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattias Hilger in the 65th minute of the match. Mattias Hilger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 76th match minute, La Academia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noé Dinamarca to maneuver through the defense. La Academia made a substitution. Aaron Mazuste replaced Lalo Salamanca. Iwan Grocholski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktor Damm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Give Peace a Chance getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Mattias Hilger hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Give Peace a Chance's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Mazuste came free, but Abdul Behnisch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute Noé Dinamarca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdul Behnisch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walter White received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Abdul Behnisch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute Noé Dinamarca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdul Behnisch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Give Peace a Chance's Norbert Focke got a free kick in the 96th minute. In the 97th minute of the match Maxín Bacarreza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abdul Behnisch showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Give Peace a Chance supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Give Peace a Chance would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
