When Edelmiro Cordario fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Humos del Cairo FC's protests and gave Edelmiro Cordario a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Edelmiro Cordario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humos del Cairo FC's Aaron Conrao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Netto in the 26th minute of play. Jairo Dante scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aaron Conrao, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Humos del Cairo FC defense, Luisinho Netto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aaron Conrao. The Humos del Cairo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aaron Conrao should have stopped the shot. Aaron Conrao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 42 minutes into the game, when Valentin Abadie put in a rough tackle. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Aaron Conrao was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aaron Conrao didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 1-8. Aaron Conrao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aaron Conrao was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Jairo Dante capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jairo Dante really showed his touch with that goal: 1-9. SAO JOANENSE FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
