Paco Dean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Oihan in the 20th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Czeslaw Banan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferman was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Paco Dean didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anibal Gaitan went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Paco Dean made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gertjan Van Craen in the 32nd minute. After 37 minutes of play, MKS Legion Częstochowa's Valter Festas made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 44th minute of the match, Aquiles Xabat tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paco Dean saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. MKS Legion Częstochowa's Paco Dean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Xabat in the 46th minute of play. After some careless play in the MKS Legion Częstochowa defense, Aquiles Xabat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paco Dean. The MKS Legion Częstochowa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paco Dean should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valter Festas to strike the kick off in the second half. If Aquiles Xabat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Peñaloza's goal looked a bit too open when Czeslaw Banan came free, but Jonathan Ferman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Valter Festas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valter Festas hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, MKS Legion Częstochowa's Jonathan Ferman threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Czeslaw Banan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gertjan Van Craen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paco Dean read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Paco Dean made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After having played for 82 minutes, Valter Festas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MKS Legion Częstochowa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valter Festas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paco Dean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquiles Xabat, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 94th minute Aquiles Xabat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paco Dean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peñaloza's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
