After a rather tough play, Nascidos Para Jogar F.C's Pedro Augusto Fenomeno got a free kick in the 4th minute. Tim Tarasek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 13 minutes into the match, RoKoCoKo TeaM's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Augusto Fenomeno came free, but Tim Tarasek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Nascidos Para Jogar F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Lopez came free, but Anselmo Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, Miguel Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nascidos Para Jogar F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Mazza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anselmo Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Speed in the 38th minute of play. Miguel Mazza struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Tim Tarasek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nascidos Para Jogar F.C. 45 minutes into the match, RoKoCoKo TeaM's goalkeeper Tim Tarasek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Mazza. A collision led to Nascidos Para Jogar F.C getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Alfredo Leite hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Miguel Mazza notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of RoKoCoKo TeaM's Tim Tarasek. Tim Tarasek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Martin Palermo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Anselmo Furlan made a huge save. If Miguel Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Mazza in the 95th minute of play forced RoKoCoKo TeaM's goalkeeper Tim Tarasek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
