Betão Quirino hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Alberto Spencer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Nilson do Vale when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alberto Spencer made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 21stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Nilson do Vale would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zé Augusto Secco in the 22nd minute. Hermínio Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson do Vale having to interfere. MOC ⚽'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Spencer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilson do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute, Hermínio Vinhas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alberto Spencer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Nilson do Vale made a huge save. Sebastião Azevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Börje Skarkman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Sobis couldn't finish the play. In the 46th play minute Alberto Spencer came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nilson do Vale. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Rafael Sobis made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Tiago Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Augusto Secco came free, but Nilson do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Spencer in the 90th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bandelocos's zone, Zé Augusto Secco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilson do Vale came out of the goal and Zé Augusto Secco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
