After the first half Bandelocos were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The supporters of Bandelocos booed when Empo FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Stålman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Empo FF's zone, Sebastião Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesare Varglien came out of the goal and Sebastião Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Empo FF's Folke Stålman got a free kick in the 61st minute. Luiz Guilherme Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesare Varglien having to interfere. Isac Mellbad kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Nilson do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tota Totti in the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bandelocos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Azevedo couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Jarl Ennegren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cesare Varglien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Sobis, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The supporters of Empo FF booed when Bandelocos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bandelocos were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Empo FF's much stronger midfield.
